trev.bot 0.6.0-beta.74
Surveys on the Epson PP-100 (SXLT) drive can now read two small firmware samples with your consent, as a first step toward supporting it. The drive is identified only; no conversion is offered yet.
trev.bot 0.6.0-beta.73
Check and surveys now identify Pioneer-built drives sold under another name, such as the Epson PP-100 (SXLT) and ASUS BW-16D1X-U, so their platform details reach us for research. These drives are identified only; no conversion is offered for them yet.

BDR-212EBK 1.05 support is now available in trev.bot 0.6.0-beta.78, with conversion to BDR-212U 1.05.zittrig wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 3:14 am Exciting!
Looking forward when the BDR-212EBK @ 1.05 will be flashable.
Update the app and run the free Check with that drive connected to confirm support for its exact firmware. Latest installer: trev.bot.
Let me know if Check does not offer the conversion.

Re: Flashing Pioneer drives with firmware 12/2022+
trev.bot flash 0.6.0-beta.85 has been released today.
Changelog:
- Prepare is simpler: it checks the selected drive as part of preparation, so there's no need to run a separate Check first. Check is still available for free when you just want to see whether a drive is supported.
- Preparation advances automatically to the next required step. When a reconnect or power cycle is needed, it shows the status and the next action clearly. Starting the write still requires your confirmation and the hold-to-flash action.
- The final confirmation is clearer, serial entry handles case automatically to match the drive's serial, and the hold-to-flash confirmation works with the keyboard as well as the mouse.
- The flashing animation and progress display have been improved. Completion is clearer too: a completed flash says Flash complete, with any remaining readiness check explained separately and a reminder to test the drive.
- Updates now sits at the bottom of the navigation. It shows the latest release, with update actions at the top. Activated installations can check for and install an update when the app starts, as long as there isn't a pending flash session to finish.
- Appearance has its own page, making the app's visual options easier to find.
- A local flash history makes it easier to look back at completed operations. Activation code references are masked rather than showing the full code.
- Used flash licenses are displayed clearly. Entering a new valid activation code allows a previously completed drive to be flashed again.
- The review shows the target firmware version more clearly and uses the correct downgrade or crossflash label, including firmware-only changes.
- Firmware readback is faster. In the recent S12 verification, that part took about 17 seconds compared with about 47 seconds previously; timing will vary by drive and setup.
- The website screenshots have been refreshed to show the current app.

Re: Flashing Pioneer drives with firmware 12/2022+
trev.bot flash 0.6.0-beta.86 has been released today.
The new firmware options are:
- Pioneer BDR-S11JX on firmware 1.53: conversion to BDR-211M 1.53.
- Epson EP2 / BDE-PR1EP PP100 on firmware 2.02: conversion to BDR-211M 1.53. Firmware 2.01 was already supported; this adds 2.02.
- Pioneer BDR-212D / 212DBK on firmware 1.02 or 1.03: BDR-212U 1.05 is available again as a target, alongside BDR-S12U 1.02. The app now lets you choose between the supported targets.
This release also improves firmware collection for BDR-S13JX 1.04. That is a collection improvement, not a new flashing route.
Preparation and firmware transfers are faster, and activation now explains verification failures while keeping the entered code available to retry.
