To avoid the Sleep Bug or have less problems with 3-Layer discs feel free to flash to LG WH16NS60 1.02MK.OneDay wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2026 8:12 am I used SDFTool 1.36

Glade it worked
Also as zittrig said flash the LG WH16NS60 1.02MK
The drives in the BW-16D1X-U are rebranded LG WH16NS40 from what I have researched.

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
I'm having some issues trying to flash my drive.
I am running on Ubuntu 25.10.
I downloaded the sdf.bin file, and downloaded the "The all you need firmware pack".
I first extracted the `ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014.bin` file, and copied both it and the sdf.bin file to /tmp, but as you can see from the image below, that didn't work. Then I extracted the `HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin` file and put that into /tmp.
The command I ran:
But to no avail. You can see from the image that it's not doing anything. I even waited for 20 minutes just in case it was a slow process. But no indication it's doing anything. No progress indicator, no output, no errors, nothing.

Any ideas, thoughts, help, guidance, etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

enc, not main?
I did finally get it to work. I had to downgrade to 1.17.7. It seemed to work alright. I'm currently making a mkv from a bluray disc. We'll see if it works.
Should I have done enc instead of main? Do I need to do it again?
