Thanks, but I don't see any file? Could you provide a download link please, if you cannot upload the file itself? (A MKB_RO.inf file is BIG, so you'd need to ZIP compress it first.)

I released an updated KeyDB Helper version. It should be easier for people to set it up for MKB v82 decryption. It also has some internal bug fixing.

I assume given my drive information any dumps need to go directly to MakeMKV since its a Pioneer?

Also what is so different about the two? technical answer or a heavily broken down answer would be appriciated very curious even when I may only understand like 34% of the explaination.

I answered that in your other thread but I'll answer it here from the best of my understanding. Some Pioneer drives aren't able to provide the VID (Volume ID) for your disc. The VID is combined with an MK (Media Key) to create the VUK (Volume Unique Key). The VUK is then used by MakeMKV to decrypt the Unit Key(s) that decrypt the contents of your disc. Without being able to get the VID, the VUK can't be created. This is my understanding of the situation from what I've read by others.

This is correct for AACS 1.0, but for AACS 2.0 on UHD discs there is more information needed beyond the VID. This info isn't publically in any dumps from any Pioneer drive, even ones with VIDs.

EDIT: Minor correction: It's in the Pioneer dumps but not in a format where the KeyDB can use it. Those have to be submitted to MakeMKV.

Yep, the process is to:

• Always email the tgz dump file to svq@makemkv.com so a key can be derived and added to MakeMKV's hashed keys database.

• If you want to help the community, you can also upload the tgz dump file somewhere like Onedrive or Googledrive etc then provide the download link in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=38293 along with a brief description, ie: the name of the disc, name of the dump file, the download link and maybe note what drive the dump was created with. This way, a key may also be derived and added to the public KeyDB database which MakeMKV (and other software) can use.
