Took 10min 4sec to make a decrypted full backup. Quickly builds up to 22 M/s after 10sec, increased throughout the process (with 37.8 M/s in the middle of the disc) and ended at 49 M/s after the 10mins. No debug codes have been seen in the log:

UPDATE: Link updated to sdf.070.bin . This fixes the v6 code not triggering when drive was connected directly to certain SATA controllers. No other changes, there is no need to delete the previous files or _private_data.tar if you download the new one.

i can confirm this is now working on Nforce chipsets just finished a BD 66
Works good here on a WH16NS40 1.02.
Top Gun bluray maxed out at 7.3x. Not 11x but I'll take it.

So updated again to your latest sdf 070.bin file.
It works fine and I’m on a WH16NS60 1.0 drive installed internally. It works at amazing speeds on dual layer UHD it seems. I’ve clocked 11.5x so far.
However I just tried a triple layer UHD (Aquaman) and it was locked at 2.0x speed. Never once went above. This disc rips fine on numerous drives and I even used it before on this drive recently. So I am very sure it isn’t the media.
I’ll be testing another triple layer shortly. Just letting you know very odd results with triple layer UHD.
Just ripping Jigsaw 4k already at 9x and climbing. It’s a triple layer too. Wonder what it is about this Aquaman disc...
in the starter post it's said "so it is disabled for UHD media. DVD and BD media is OK." so I'm not sure if anything could have changed with your 4k disks.
Took two Resident Evil BluRay this time.
Because of bonus content on BluRays it's difficult to have a really huge file to check the speed on:
24mins 24secs for 42.98 Gb, that's in average 29,9 M/s
17mins 26secs for 27.62 Gb, that's in average 26,3 M/s
At some bigger files the read speed even dropped some mid ripping, staying at around 23 M/s. A bit difficult to measure.

I believe it is disables for UHD friendly drives. Mine is official and I hit 11.7x on jigsaw. But Aquaman seems to be having issues it never had before.
The major update for the LibreDrive microcode is almost here.
Changes in V6:
Most previously unsupported old firmwares are now supported
"Riplock" read speed restriction is removed on capable drives
More stable and compatible method of microcode injection and communication
Given this is probably a biggest change in LibreDrive microcode, I would ask all of you to test it first. Everything should be fine, but please do post any feedback in this topic.
To enable the latest LibreDrive microcode, just download the SDF.bin file from https://www.makemkv.com/download/sdf.070.bin and place it into MakeMKV data directory.
On next start MakeMKV would consume it and you should see "Using LibreDriveMode (v6)" when opening a disc.
On main screen "Unrestricted read speed" should now read either Yes or No, depending on the drive status.
Riplock removal does NOT work with:
Slim drives (they just can't handle increased speed)
UHD discs in "friendly drives" - speed change would instantly trigger the infamous "sleep bug", so it is disabled for UHD media. DVD and BD media is OK.
USB2.0 speed cap is about 30 MB/sec, you have to use USB3.0 enclosure for external drive if you want to get full speed from unlocked drive.
All NS40 drives are now supported "as is", no firmware upgrade is required.
The unsupported "TSSTcorp" drives are very very likely to stay this way. Sorry, all Samsung slim drive owners - these are just too old...

Mike you really are an incredible person. What you have achieved with MakeMKV development is unbelievable. I have been doing drive speed comparisons over the last 24 hours and I am blown away with the new LibreDrive 6. MakeMKV is phenomenal and is the only backup software that anyone requires. Congratulations Mike! For MakeMKV, the only way is up. I will post speed comparisons at the following link later.
