I have a Pioneer BDR-S13J-X (Firmware 1.01) that I'm trying to use for 4K UHD ripping, but LibreDrive does not seem to be enabled.
Here are the specific issues I am encountering:
1. The "LibreDrive Information" section does not appear at all in MakeMKV.
2. When attempting to open a 4K UHD disc (Inception), I receive the following error log:
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
The AACS dump file "C:\Users\svdbu/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v61_Inception_80F3.tgz" was successfully sent for analysis
LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted.
Failed to open disc

I have Pioneer BDR-212UHBK (from Japan) with following MakeMkv info:
Drive Information
OS device name: G:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-212U
Revision: 1.04
Serial number: CCDL006904WL
Firmware date: 2022-12-20
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 82
LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: Pioneer RS8F01
Firmware version: ID83
No disc inserted
Same either way with USB or direct SATA connection.
I tried submitting the firmware .tgz to MakeMkv support some time ago but no change since.
Any way to get this LibreDrive enabled? With UHD support?
Thanks

probably best to just reflash it see pinned guides for that
mike has not been very active updating support for new fw
yes reflash it to a BDR-X12U, firmware version 1.06 dated 2022-12-20, it definitely works for me in MakeMKV. no problems ripping 4K UHD at all..remember to back up your drive first!!

PM sent for flashing to 1.02 which is Libredrive and UHD capable.
