Unfortunately, none of your TGZ dump files was created with LibreDrive enabled :(:

Code: Select all

...
002004:0000 Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'

003306:0000 Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
This is almost certainly why MakeMKV cannot decrypt your disks. However, the latest KEYDB.cfg field does already contain entries for the following:
  • WALL-E
  • The Matrix
  • Matrix Revolutions
Try cold-booting your UHD drive, to see if MakeMKV can enable LibreDrive properly.

Can you also upload the full MKB_RO.inf file from your physical UHD "The Matrix Reloaded" disk into Google Drive please, because the copy of this file inside your TGZ dump has been truncated to only 56 bytes, which makes it unusable to anyone except MakeMKV itself. KEYDB would also need a replacement discatt.dat file for this disk in order to generate an entry for it.

Edit: Have you tried using SamuriHL's KEYDB Helper Utility?

Thank you for your reply. I uploaded the extracted folders from the tgz files into the Google Drive folder so all the files are there. I tried cold booting my drive (turned off my pc, unplugged it, waited a minute or so, then turned it back on). However, when I go into the makemkv application and try to open the disc, I get errors like this in the log:

Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT PRESENT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A30..0020..03F to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'
DEBUG: Code 0 at 2U{2<P"^ib0vfW}i5:213130766
DEBUG: Code 0 at ek0A`ekmmj7(oPSno;:213131709

I just don't understand why makemkv believes my drive is "LibreDrive enabled" but it says "LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted."

I'm not too familiar with SamuriHL's KEYDB Helper Utility. I downloaded the tool and extracted the disc info for The Matrix 4K UHD disc. Below is the info:

I'm not sure if this is helpful. Let me know if I should try something else.

Thanks, but unfortunately that doesn't help because we already had all those files from the original TGZ dumps. What we actually need are the MKB_RO.inf files directly from the physical UHD disks, and for the precise reason that they contain information not in the TGZ dumps.

That looks OK. Can you examine your "The Matrix Reloaded" disk using SamuriHL's utility please, and try uploading/validating it? (You'll need to get LibreDrive enabled properly first.)

I uploaded all the MKB_RO.inf files to my Google drive folder.

I also validated the Matrix Reloaded UHD disc:

Please let me know if I need to provide anything else for these discs. Also, can you let me know how I can get my LibreDrive enabled properly? I just recently purchased my drive and I didn't even attempt to rip any discs until after I flashed the firmware. I even pulled the drive out of the enclosure it came in and attached it to my PC via sata because the enclosure was blocking the firmware flashing connection and SDF toolflasher wouldn't flash until I did this.

Again, my drive info is:

OK, so validation has failed because there wasn't already an entry in KEYDB to check against your disk :(. With any luck, this might change now that you've provided the disk's complete MKB_RO.inf file. However, you will also need to disable bus encryption in order to validate your disk, and that means getting your drive to enable LibreDrive.

I don't know why MakeMKV is saying that LD is enabled while clearly not enabling LD! A cold reboot normally fixes problems like this, but maybe there's a timing issue here too? Perhaps try waiting until your disk appears in Windows Explorer before launching MakeMKV?
