Hey frameloose, thanks for providing those disc dump files. Your discs have been added to the public keydb. Disc dumps from all drive brands (LG, Asus, Pioneer, and Buffalo) are now supported for the purposes of the public keydb.

Welcome to the forum Rauthr. There were no issues with your submission, so grab the latest keydb and you should be able to decrypt your disc.

Hey FootFungus07, thanks for remembering the MKB_RO.inf file but I think you forgot the actual disc dump file. Feel free to post it whenever you get a chance.

These four titles have been added to the public keydb:

Code: Select all

MKB20_v82_Jarhead_3166
MKB_v82_BD_DAVID5192_CrookedEarth_4266

All three of the disc dumps provided by Browneye9999 were added to the public keydb on December 22.

If you have configured MakeMKV to use the public keydb and your discs still aren't working that would be a fair assumption.

Feel free to follow the submission template in the opening post of this thread if you'd like your discs to be added to the public keydb.

Hey LichLordJay, welcome to the forum. Both of your discs were actually added to the public earlier in the week. Check out the instructions I linked in the opening post of this thread to configure MakeMKV. Once you have configured MakeMKV correctly, you'll be able to decrypt your discs. For any future submissions, please refer to the posts from mattmak464, Rauthr, and xenago as great submission examples.

The following disc variants have been added to the public keydb:

Code: Select all

You have actually provided the disk's Unit_Key_RO.inf instead of its MKB_RO.inf, but I'm hoping it won't matter in this particular case...

keydb_helper wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 2:42 am Thanks to everyone who provided new disc dump files. It is great to see folks remembering to include the correct disc ID.

The following disc variants have been added to the public keydb:

Code: Select all

MKB_v82_28_Years_Later_B0CC
Okay, I'm lost...

I downloaded the new keydb.cfg (2026-01-16 19:08:37), but MakeMKV still says the disc is unknown - and now, the dump file name has changed to MKB_v82_28_Years_Later_B0CD (last letter changed).

Grepping the file for the string "MKB_v82_28_Years_Later_B0CC" finds nothing. The DiscID (5ea38005be385f5be9fdcea618c3485eb0f762b8) is in the file, but with another title (Peking Opera Blues UHD).

Oh, and I can only get MakeMKV to generate the dump file by choosing to close it when the status says "Parsing file: /AACS/ContenHash001.tbl" - it I just leave it, there is no dump file. I literally have to clik the X to close the program when it show this status for it to generate the dump file...

Can someone explain to me what is going on here?
