Public KeyDB Disc Submissions

MKV actually managed to open the disc once, but after a couple of seconds MKV started re-reading the disc, and that ended with me having to re-flash my Asus drive yet again.

Don't repeatedly reflash your drive firmware. The firmware is cryptographically signed, so if it were somehow corrupted the drive would go into boot/DFU mode. Any perceived benefit to repeatedly reflashing the firmware is a side effect of the self-reboot stage of the update process. You can achieve an even greater effect by just powering down the drive entirely and waiting 10-15 seconds.

I should also mention that the player sounds very strange and strained when it tries to read this disc. Could it be the disc itself that’s faulty, causing the players to be unable to read it?
