You are absolutely correct but it did require me to unplug/replug my Pioneer drive to recognize it.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Pardon the off-topic sidenote, keydb_helper, but I now have an LG BP50NB40 on the way to me by Friday.
I heard what you were saying about having a spare drive handy (these things, like all of us, aren't getting any younger).
I understand I'm going to have to flash that one (twice?), but I expect there's help on hand here to get the job done. I'll be curious to see which happens first: I provide a useable dump, Mike gets it running native in makemkv, or someone else (with an appropriate drive) actually buys American Utopia!
The things I do for my wife...
... she's right behind me, isn't she?

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Hey bcSF415, your disc was added to the public keydb on December 6. Please carefully read the first post and its links before posting again. It details how you can configure MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb.
Yep, the public accessible aspect was the sticking point. Thanks for sorting it out. Your disc has been added to the public keydb along with these two discs:
Code: Select all
mkb20_v82_das_phantom_der_oper_ec20
mkb20_v82_hush_1bc8
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
- LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
- Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
- If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder

Good to hear, I'm sure you'll find it to be helpful.
Your disc dump file has a good chance of winning that race. I'm sure you'll get find plenty of resources/support to guide you during the flashing process.Tetsujin wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 12:42 amI understand I'm going to have to flash that one (twice?), but I expect there's help on hand here to get the job done. I have to be more polite on this forum after my wife happened to start reading it... Well, how did I get here?
Hey dxrmkvun, thank you for the very comprehensive submission. All six discs have been added to the public keydb.dxrmkvun wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 12:48 amDisc dump folder name: Blakes_7_Series_2

Please don't post email updates to this thread. No one else is posting updates about their emails. Read the first post if you'd like to facilitate expanding the public keydb.knyght1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 1:16 amI submitted a dump file for Good Fortune BD to svq@makemkv.com

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
This TGZ dump file was created using a Verbatim 43888 / Pioneer BDR-UD04, which means KEYDB cannot understand its metadata. Would you also happen to have access to an ASUS/LG/Buffalo UHD drive instead please?
