Could you also post these dumps here please, either as attachments or via download links? This would allow The Powers That KEYDB to try to help you with these disks too.

Thanks for these :). Are you aware of SamuriHL's utility? This makes integrating KEYDB.cfg with MakeMKV easier, and also has a handy "validate" option... ;).

BTW there might also be some information missing from your TGZ dump files. What does the "LibreDrive" section of MakeMKV's "Info" window say about your drive please?

Came here to do the same. My discs aren't being read either.

I recommend emailing your TGZ dump files to svq@makemkv.com, and if you're also a Windows user then checking KEYDB.cfg periodically with SamuriHL's utility. (This utility would also allow you to validate your disks' KEYDB entries...)

Are your TGZ dump files identical to the OP's?

I also got my copy early and submitted my TGZ dump files yesterday, but they're not exactly the same as what's been uploaded to this thread. The file sizes are slightly different.

This is my first time with a new 4k where I'm unable to rip the disc because it hasn't been added to the database yet. I don't know how it works, and I can't tell if MakeMKV is correctly accessing the internet (I have it set to look, but I don't see a line in the log--it just says unable to decrypt). I tried the SamuriHL utility and clicked Validate. It detects my drive as a "REAL BLURAY" drive, finds the M2TS files, and then gives an error: "ERROR! Validation of VUK failed >#BRAACS_ListError<"

That sounds like it's to be expected at this stage until everything gets updated?

All six titles have been added to the public keydb.

If you haven't previously configured MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb you can follow my instructions here or use SamuriHL's utility for Windows (Link)

I think it will be something like:

Code: Select all

...
BD raw metadata read: Partial
...
The BC-12B1ST is like the BC-12D2HT and a few other drives in this regard.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
  • LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
  • Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
  • If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder

I emailed dump files for 3 of them 2 weekends ago. I keep trying them once a day and haven’t gotten them to work yet. I was able to save backups of all 3. The other 3 worked fine.

Here are the file names:

MKB20_v82_Thunderball_B617.tgz
MKB20_v77_From_Russia_with_Love_388D.tgz
MKB20_v82_Diamonds_are_Forever_A315.tgz

Thank you.

Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKValso writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

If this doesn't work, then maybe upload your TGZ dump files into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive please, and then reply with public download links? This would allow people to try adding your disks to the KEYDB.cfg file.
