you can risk it and flash to bu40n but it may die
Finally got around to doing the flashing. Wouldnt work on linux with sdftool for some reason but worked fine on my M2 Air
Anyway, for reference: Alls well! Flashed the BU40N firmware with enc flag without issue
Considering this drive costs the equivalent of $70 in Japan its not a bad deal
