UH12SN30 Firmware
I found an old drive I used to have and I apparently flashed BH14NS40 firmware over it, for what I assume was a foolish shot at reading UHD drives. Any chance someone has firmware for UH12SN30 I can have to attempt and flash this drive back to stock? If that is not possible let me know. I've been searching for a bit, but I can find zero posts on this forum for the LG UH12SN30.
Re: UH12SN30 Firmware
FW can only enable UHD functionality on capable hardware. It is NOT magic. You MIGHT be able to reflash stock FW from here?Jimmynidas wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 3:38 pmI found an old drive I used to have and I apparently flashed BH14NS40 firmware over it, for what I assume was a foolish shot at reading UHD drives. Re: UH12SN30 Firmware
The first link says I have the incorrect firmware for my drive. I assume this is because my PC thinks this is a BH14NS40 instead of the correct UH12SN30. The second link fails when I use the downgrade utility linked here.
No big deal if the drive is a brick at this point. Lol
Re: UH12SN30 Firmware
That tool/procedure was from 2019. I was thinking more like SDFtool Flasher w/ the 'Recover' option & the provided binary? I've never done it, but it seems like what was intended? I could be way off...Jimmynidas wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 6:33 pmThe first link says I have the incorrect firmware for my drive. 1. Select your drive.
2. Select RECOVERY.
3. In the popup window, select the current (wrong) firmware on the drive (in your case, whichever version of BU40N you flashed).
4. In the firmware dropdown box, select [extracted contents of HLDS_LG UH12SN30_1.02-A0_NOBJ_DE.zip] firmware.
5. Click START and wait until completed.
