What are the chances the BDR-213 from amazon would come with older firmware?

I found these two locally. Can the firmware be upgraded on them to support UHD ripping?

1. LG WH16NS40, 1.02 firmware, manufactured 1/09/2017 (What year is the cutoff date for these again?)

2. Pioneer BDR-209DBK Manufactured 9/2016. (Can this be firmware upgraded to rip UHD?)

Thanks.

Ask Asmcom? They sell a range of LibreDrive-compatible external Pioneer drives, and are based in the UK. I believe they would also ship to Germany.
