well 7.1 EC3 without a core doesn't work on my C8/C2 + ARC AVR , so I don't knowsw5163 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:19 amARC should be able to do 7.1 eac3/atmos at best, through HDMI 2.0
7.1 eac3 without atmos through HDMI 1.3
eARC is only needed for TrueHD and PCM

In case anyone want this, it's from https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/106809463. I don't own it.
7.1 EC3 with a core plays fine but only the 5.1 core.
btw , the answer to your hybrid rpu question is also in my script

eac3 can have a core? I don't know that, I thought only TrueHD should have a core.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:58 amwell 7.1 EC3 without a core doesn't work on my C8/C2 + ARC AVR , so I don't know

Ugh ... I've just unboxed my x800m2 and I can confirm the bug on the LG C1. The LG C1 internal player looks fine.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thanks! Then just link this post, it has all the bugs we know so far about 2022 LG models.deadchip12 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 2:06 amOh so the new engine is faulty? Then I guess Dolby and LG have to work together to release an update on the newer TVs. I will try tagging Vincent from HDTV Test on twitter so he can be aware of this. He has good contacts at LG.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 1:58 amit's not a player bug.
It's Dolby's faulty implementation in newer TV.

And let's wait for a miracle!

What does this do on our TV and UHD BD players? ThanksRESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 10:43 amyep, CX looks ok. lucky youPoker354 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 3:52 amI’m not sure I’m experiencing this bug. LG CX with Sony X700 and Shield Pro 2019. Testing the videos back and forth (ts on Sony and mp4 on Shield) I could easily see the changes on both. The shield might look slightly better but I easily see them as well on the x700.

please try the cmv4.0 version on your Shield(or TV internal player) and tell us if you get L8 reaction.

I've tried this on my LG C1 (latest version) using x800m2 (latest firmware) and no visible changes for L3 or L8.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 10:43 amplease try the cmv4.0 version on your Shield(or TV internal player) and tell us if you get L8 reaction.

We thought that this will happen, but can you try it via Shield and TV's Internal player (eg Plex client)?sofakng wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 7:32 pmI've tried this on my LG C1 (latest version) using x800m2 (latest firmware) and no visible changes for L3 or L8.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 10:43 amplease try the cmv4.0 version on your Shield(or TV internal player) and tell us if you get L8 reaction.

If those will result in a change then your C1 has cmv4.0 as well (just as 2022 models).
