What's the diff between the EU drives and the US drives? I understand diff regions, but what exactly does that mean?
If I bought and EU drive and I am in the US what are the downsides? I can't play/rip any US region discs?

To bring it back after ripping an mkv, you can hit file| then close | then you can backup.

? I backup DVD's all the time. Haven't seen it greyed out at all yet for any dvd i've tried to backup.

just return the drive and hope to get one with older firmware.

Plex is fine so you can stick with that. I can stream all day long over wifi to multiple tv's with no issues. I had no issues when I was on my older 802.11n networks and no issues when I went to wifi 6 and most recently 6e. Also, my server isn't even on hardwired ethernet! Only one Apple TV is hardw...

I did a disc backup with makemkv and thought I also ripped an mkv. Apparently I forgot to make the mkv. My dog chewed up the disc after the fact. So how do I load the backup into makemkv and create an mkv of the movie? Appreciate the help in advance. Tried a quick search but didnt see answer.

Just got starting ripping all my discs. Boy, my new pioneer 13UBK drives do great with scratched up DVD reads, but holy smokes do the Bluray and UHD discs have to be flawless to not see errors. Kind of a bummer how picky they seem to be. Some of the discs are in really good shape with maybe the fain...

I rip to mkv with makemkv and chapters show up just fine in plex. I hit down on cursor, top menu shows up with chapters and also lets you pick subtitles etc.

I wound up just ordering new drives. Ordered 4. All had 1.03 on it. Using two and I will keep the other two on hand as spares in case either of these ever fail.

Ya I am on newest Apple TV, receiver supports atmos etc and I am using hdmi. I think I read something about need to change audio format because plex can’t support it. But the app infuse is only one that can. I could be wrong. Just tried infuse though and it still wasn’t passing the lossless versions...
