MakeMKV converts period to underscore in filename

Post by jasonwc »

While a period is a valid character in a filename, MakeMKV converts it to an underscore. I would think this would be pretty common usage to denote the number of audio channels. For e.g. - The Grey 2012 1080p Bluray AVC DTS-HD MA 5.1-Remux.mkv would be outputted as The Grey 2012 1080p Bluray AVC DTS-HD MA 5_1-Remux.mkv.

Some programs still (today, in 21st century) behave incorrectly if there are several dots in file name. Therefore the "safest" path was chosen. I'm afraid you'll have to rename the file by hand.
