Hi everyone,
I'm ripping a Blu-ray set (The King of Queens, "King Box") with MakeMKV 2.0.0 on Windows.
In the ripped MKVs, every scene change has about 10 s of black picture and silence. When I play the same disc in a player, the same spots also are so long. But when I play from the Blu Ray itself the black gap is gone.
The audio resumes in sync with the picture, so no content is missing. The black padding is just much longer in the rip.
It looks like the disc is poorly authored: the long black sections are in the raw stream, and the disc playlist shortens them during playback. MakeMKV only seems to find file-based titles (.m2ts) and ignores the playlist.
Is there a way to fix this while ripping, or is there another solution, such as a different tool or a way to rip the playlist version?
Thanks!
