i have also flashed my S12U to become a BDR-X12U via Mattjacksons Flasher!! with the dreaded December 2022 firmware and it still can rip 4K Discs!!

remember to "Backup" and also "Dump" your current drives, and save on your desktop for easy access, if you ever need to use it.
and DONT unzip the firmware files.. just use that 1 Zipped file if u want to flash the drive.. that's the only "Glaring difference vs the Regular BDRFlash software where u need to copy/drag 2 files over into the flasher.
