Pioneer BDR-S11J-BK 1.54 firmware after RMA

I was using a BDR-S11J-BK(not crossflashed) with firmware 1.02 bought 10 months ago at a sale price from a retail cleaning inventory at that time.

I was keeping dumping my BD collection for 9 days(~10h/day), suddenly the motor fried with smell of smoke inside the drive.
So I went to the retail for RMA.

The replacement drive came with firmware 1.54. I found something weird than other users experienced.

I tested UHD decryption, still works with my current setup. But when I putting BD-RE discs with AACS protected TV stream BDAV into the drive, makemkv suddenly freezes and locks up until disc ejected. From my experience makemkv may not dump BDAV successfully, but at least detect the format fine when fw was 1.02.

DVDfab still works fine for dumping BDAV even with 1.54 fw, but fails to dump UHD BDMV.
