BU50N Troubles

Post by EEK009 »

Hey all, I'm a noob to ripping UHD and I'm having some issues flashing this drive. I'm using SDFtool Flasher as administrator. Tried a few different cables now as well. I have the Benfei and recommended Slim adapter. It is connected via USB to my laptop, the drive recognizes though it wont actually play a UHD disk through VLC. I am trying to flash to DE_LG_BU40N.

Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BU50N
Revision: CC02
Serial number: 911HS000697
Firmware date: 2119-05-10 11:30
Bus encryption flags: 1F
Highest AACS version: 65

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

Kinda at a loss at this point, any help would be severely apricated. SDFtool reports it has successfully flashed but I have experienced no change to the info in MakeMKV.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the following :

Flash either BU40N 1.03-MK or BU40N 1.00-DE with a regular WRITE, no encryption, no bootloader flash, no RECOVER.

(And if that fails, try flashing BU40N 1.03-MK with encryption I guess, but I seriously doubt that would be necessary).
