Flashing Verbatim BU40N

Post by ashalenko »

Hello,

I recently bought a Verbatim Optical Drive (https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/off ... er-vb43888) and have been ripping my BluRay collection. Today I tried to rip my first 4K disc and got a bunch of errors in MakeMKV v1.17.7 on Linux Mint saying 'Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT PRESENT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A40..0020..03F to device 'SG:dev_21:0''

I assume I need to flash the drive. Can someone please advise how I do this on Linux Mint, or if I need to do it on Windows, what guide to use?

Thanks.

Paste the text from MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections.
Cheers :D
