Stupid flash mistake

SDFtool now reports MT1959 Platform And see's this: G: BUFFALO_Optical_Drive_1.02_211810291936_MO1Q29B3511
Recovery with DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin returns immediately to Ready...
Normal write fails with 0xff05c103
Windows can see the drive but won't read any media and the tray will not open.

I would most definitely recommend a recovery flasher as well, but out of pure technical curiosity, am I correct in assuming that the CLI version would be something like this ?

(Billy, your guide has a recovery guide for a 5.25 crossflashed to a slim, but this is a slim that was crossflashed to a 5.25, so I tried to do this in a way that seemed logical to me)

I was able to fix my drive with this command: makemkvcon64.exe f --all-yes -d G: rawflash nocheck,boot="MT1959 Boot JB8 " -i "C:\buffalorecovery\DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin"

I have successfully ripped two UHD discs and a blu-ray. Huge thanks to all that helped! I am now officially done with flashing drives!!

Oh my, thank you for confirming this. That was a risky move on your part though, as I was basically asking Billy whether what I posted was correct, as I wasn't 100% sure of what I was doing.

Still, now I know that this works in case the same thing ever happens to me by accident, so thank you Billy for writing the recovery guide and thank you XIgnals for confirming my theory. I'm glad I was able to help.

Well to be honest I actually did this by accident. I was coping the line into notepad, I thought, but it went to the command prompt I had open and the line had an embedded carriage return so when i hit paste it started running and stuff started scrolling on the screen and I was like, well there goes this drive for good. But after it ran I heard the drive make a sound so I thought I need to check and see and low and behold it worked!

So a huge thank you to you and Billy!! You saved my $134 drive, which has ripped everything I have put in it after the recovery. Three UHD movies and a couple of blu-rays. It run so smooth and a lot more quite that I thought it would. I have actually bought another one to have as a spare. No flashing until I need it lol!
