LG WP50NB40 errors

Post by stratagem »

Hey, I bought a LG WP50NB40 and I'm currently trying to flash it.
Revision: 1.03
Firmware date: 2121-07-08 16:09

I have the SFDTool installed. I select my drive and choose DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.01_MK_HBD.bin. It starts with sending to drive but then I get an error.
First error I received was 0xff05c103 followed by 0x82052603.

How do I get it to take the above firmware so I can proceed with DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.00_MK_HBD.bin?

Read the first post of the SDFTool flasher thread. Specifically the section about BP50NB40 SVC NB52 and follow the instructions.
Cheers :D

Also, you've probably figured this out on your own already, but make sure there is no disc in the drive and the tray is closed before flashing. Power cycle the drive after you're done flashing.
