Discs won't stop loading.

Post by ThrowawaySteve6514 »

Hello.
Windows 11 user here.

I'm currently trying to rip 4 dvds but none of them work. Everytime I put them in and open MakeMKV it just gets stuck at "Disc Is Loading"
I have tried all dvd structure removal methods (CellWalk -Trim & -Full) but none of them do anything. I've tried downgrading my MakeMKV to 1.17.7 also to no avail.

All 4 dvds work perfectly in my normal dvd player but not on my USB Blu-Ray drive. I would normally suspect the drive, however every single other disk I've given it has worked flawlessly, From Blu-Rays to DVDs.

Don't know if anyone has any tips or tricks that can help me.

Here's my drive info.

Are you using a permanent key? Or are you turning back the clock on the expired beta key?

I faced the exact same problem under Linux (Mint 22.1).
I wanted to use the trial (beta) key, but it's no longer valid (nearly all menu items stay grayed, including the "freeware" ones).
For that reason, I had no option but turning back the clock
I'm willing to buy the software, but I'd like to make sure it can run on my setup (ASUS_BW-16D1HT_3.02_211711151716_my_serial).
Will buying a license make this problem go away?
In case it doesn't, is there a refund policy?

If this is the Linux version it could be the endless scanning bug on versions > 1.17.7, see that subforum lots of threads about it.

It says Windows 11 and "OS device name: E:"
Debian 13
Xfce 4.20
MakeMKV 1.18.2 (Reg)
2x Pioneer BD-ROM BDC-202

I was replying to this poster who had the same issue but on Linux Mint.
