Hello, I am trying to rip a new (and cleaned) disk but it always fails with the "Posix Error" and "Scsi error".
What are these and how can I work around them?
Thank you.
What is the "Posix" Error?
Re: What is the "Posix" Error?
Generally, they are errors reading the disk. Just how the controller sees them is whether it's "posix" or "SCSI".

Is there a way to get past this, reinstall software, use different software?
The disk is new and cleaned, of course. Using a drive that can read it, too.

What model drive/firmware are you using? Can you try the disc in another drive?PoliteWatcher wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 11:10 pmIs there a way to get past this, reinstall software, use different software?

Re: What is the "Posix" Error?
Hello, and thank you for your kind reply.
I am using version 1.17.5 on a Pioneer BDR-XD07UHD with LibreDrive enabled.
I unfortunately do not have the option to try it on another drive.
Thanks ou for your help, iw as just hoping for some insight as to what the problem was.

The problem is the drive is having issues reading the disc.PoliteWatcher wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 1:38 amHello, and thank you for your kind reply.

Your options are to thoroughly clean the disc with soapy water and a microfiber cloth before trying again. If that falls, your options are to try the disc in a different drive or replace the disc.
