Issues with blu-ray movie skipping after downloaded

playing movie in plex after ripping it. The movie is skipping sections in length from 3 sec to 1 min 30 seconds from what i have watched so far, seems to be throughout the whole movie, do i just need to rip again or what is the solution? I remember I had this issue with a different blu ray movie over a year ago but don't remember what I did to fix it.
I think it has to do with plex maybe because if I play it from the same source with Windows Media Player it does not skip.

This can happen if Plex is having issues generating a version of the file for your viewing system.

Do you see the skips if you load the file directly, rather than through Plex? Does your Plex server feed video to more than one display?

I found the issue, when it plays the original quality directly it is skipping, so if it is converted in any way it works, so I just converted the file and now present that version to plex, the skipping no longer occurs.
