I can't get makemkv to read the 4k disc. I've tried to flash the optical drive but it just produces that error. I looked on here and YT for some help but nothing seemed to work. How do I get makemkv to read the 4k disc? Thanks.

Use the newer flasher. Most likely "enc" has to be checked to flash it. Look here:

Your 1.02 firmware is encrypted. Either check enc or use the latest version of SDFtool Flasher which will automatically apply the encrypted flag.

Also, I recommend you use either BU40N 1.00 or 1.03-MK firmware. Don't use 1.04-MK as it's junk.
