Why bother asking if you aren't going to provide the relevant info??? Try pasting the text from MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections.

The label on top of the drive will tell you the manufacturing date.

For UHD compatibility, it must use the MT1959 drive platform and be manufactured from 2016+ (or Oct 2015+ if you want to risk it!) Those manufactured before this date are too old and would have the old, incompatible MT1939 drive platform.

I don't think any manufacturer is actually producing new optical drives any more. The supply of new drives will dwindle until there is none. If you want a new drive, they can still be found but they won't be cheap. Any cheap ones you find are likely to be fake or too old to rip UHDs.

A seller on this forum, based in Europe, Asmcom, will soon open his store and sell the last batch of new drives he's likely to ever get. It will undoubtedly cost significantly more than 100€ but it'll be flashed and tested to work. A buy-once, cry-once situation.

Otherwise the Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide has a list of drive models that can be flashed to work.

T hanks, i found something on amazon for 110€ , but not sure is worth the cost, i have only 2-3 uhd disks, maybe in the future i will buy a ps5 to read them directly, i dont need to rip.

or any suggestion on what to buy (around 100€) thanks!
