i was reading the there are two version of the verbatim 43888 drive. pioneer and lg version.
is there a big difference between those two?

The Verbatim 43888 containing the Pioneer drives does not need flashing and works OOTB. The Verbatim 43888 containing the LG BU40N can easily be flashed.

I just saw the post about the health issues and I hope you are recovering from whatever has happened.
I would like to buy a 4k drive for ripping uhd blu rays and others. I think the best external usb pioneer drive would be ideal. I emailed a while ago but didn’t post here, so I will resend the email now. There is no rush for this for me, so please ensure you are well enough to get back to business.

Hello, I would like to buy an external Bluray drive through ascom (to Germany). However, the selection overwhelms me.

I need an external drive with which I can rip my UHD Blurays. Since I only have a few, it doesn't have to be particularly fast. But it should be future-proof in order to be able to read a wide variety of Blurays. It also has to be durable.
What would be your recommendation so that I can order when the shop opens again? I use Windows.

Oh, how will you get the forum discount in the new shop?
