I've been hoping to purchase one of their drives too.
Been monitoring their eBay store and just seen that all the items have been removed. Just got to be patient with their new website I guess.

Direct playback isn't possible with none of the UHD drives. Doesn't matter if native or flashed.
Exception: You have a PC with an Intel SGX chipset and a software player that have no restriction for direct playback.

Direct playback can be done using a UHD official or friendly drive connected to any decent spec PC via MakeMKV and an unofficial player such as VLC etc once integtrated. None of this SGX crap required.
