Clean the disc!!

As Marty noted, cleaning the disc is a good first step. It might also be worth running some RAM or disk diagnostics on the off chance there is a separate hardware fault interfering with the disc backup.

Thanks for the help, cleaning the disc worked! It's a brand new one so I did not think to do that. I guess there can be some factory residue that interferes with reading the disc.

Yes, this often happens with 4k UHD discs, probably about 75% of the time. Best to always give the disc a clean the first time you take it out of the case.
