I was going to send that confirmation and attached PDF file but Asmcom was faster.

Got the conformation e-mail now before I even sent the PDF to him. I also included in the message WITH the payment, the order number, my name etc. Makes it more easy for someone to sort through payments when you get a hole bunch of in a short period of time.

I guess I don't have to send that pdf file now that I got my order detail back with e-mail from Asmcom.

I am so thankful Asmcom can provide this service now that Pioneer is almost end of life and this is probably the last batch of drives ever, unless you buy a used one second hand from the few people selling Pioneer drives.

I think you still might have to send the pdf. it should say in the confirmation e-mail, what the next steps are

Will there be a e-mail with information about the shipment when it is in transit, otherwise it is hard to track the order and if something goes wrong that information is of value when contacting support etc.

I wonder if UPS does home delivery, it was a long time ago I had anything to do with them. DHL seems a better option for International shipping.

Was watching this for today’s release, to finally get a drive and start archiving my UHD collection. Looks like I made it in!

I think i read somewhere in the confirmation email of payment recieved that they will email when it has been posted and with tracking details

Asmcoms packaging and shipping with UPS is just perfect. Believe me. I can tell.

That sound good. Fingers crossed that UPS are resonable quick when they get the package from Asmcom.

I was also able to place an order. There were many pictures of the same drive, but price was the same. Last time I ordered there were different options with usb cable or case or power supply. Not this time.
However I ordered two of those silver drives.

I have usually 3 drives from each generation of optical drives. So 3 cd drives, 3 dvd drives. And the Bluray drives I ordered at last chance.

It’s really crazy that the market for optical drives is shutting down. Thank you Netflix.

In the meantime I have switched to optical media only. My local library has tons of dvd and blurays to rent, which is only 20$ a year not a month. And always keep in mind as asmcom recommends, rip and play. Don’t play directly, this wears out the drive.

Asmcom refunded my second order, i'm waiting for a reply about the first one that i still didn't pay

FYI my order just got refunded, after having received the confirmation email and dispatch date earlier...

He just refunded my order as well. I guess he ran out of stock after all? If so, I don't understand why he doesn't shut down the website though..? You can still place new orders - which I guess is probably useless at this point...

asmcom will surely be sorting everything out and will go for the order number, let's wait and see

Have sent a query to Asmcom about this, but does anyone know if they still offer licence keys for MakeMKV (as per thread title) as I couldn't find any option to add this to an order.

Secondly, their product page for the BDR-XS07TS mentions an "Optional External Power Supply (Strongly Recommended)" but with no visible way to purchase this. Anyone have any experience of whether this is needed and where to get it?
