All I can really suggest is power-cycling your UHD drive and trying again.
It was a firmware issue, apparently I needed to downgrade to the 1.00 firmware for BU40N after I had flashed it with 1.03 MK (Which was what I had been on). I'm now wondering if I mistook non-uhd for uhd discs previously, but the file sizes matched up, so maybe some just play nicely with 1.03 firmware and some don't. Regardless, I'm real glad to have it working, and thank you so much for your many replies helping me troubleshoot and work through it! Sorry to have taken over the thread with what ended up being an unrelated issue.
