Just received my second Pioneer BDR-X13E-S drive from Asmcom and his wonderful team. Very pleased with the entire process, ordered my third (and final, lol, before I file for bankruptcy ), thanks again, I could never find these models anywhere else. Exceptionally pleasant experience.

Looking to order the Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD in Canada. Read that UPS shipping will be used. Is it possible to get a quote on how much it will cost total including customs clearance with UPS?

We are sorry this is not possible as we are not familiar with the customs policies in Canada. The customer is responsible for paying all duties which vary in different countries. We can only tell you the price of the drives and shipping which is listed on our website.

Which drive is better Pioneer BDR-X13E-S or BDR-S13E-X?

I read that BDR-X13E-S has USB 3.2 Gen 1 and the other only USB 3.0?

They are both excellent drives. The enclosure of the BDR-X13E-S is completely composite / plastic.

The Vantec DX2 is mostly Aluminium. For this reason I prefer the S13E-X with a Premium Vantec DX2, model number NST-540S3-BK.

Looking it up, you should expect to pay around $65 CAD import taxes/duty for that drive. You can run your own check using this useful site:

Your post office will advise on how much and give you a means to pay when the item is ready to be delivered.

As an aside, I am waiting on something to be delivered from Canada with a value of almost $500, and it's coming from a vendor which I absolutely know I will have to pay import duty on because they declare the value on the package.

@Asmcom Just wanted to let you know that the drive I ordered (Pioneer BDR-213EBK) arrived in perfect condition. Just connected it to computer and is working flawlessly. Finally can watch those 4k movies on PC without issues. Thank you again for your support.

For someone who just wants a simple plug and play solution to backup their UHD and blu-ray collection is the Pioneer Premium BDR-XS07TUHD a good choice. To confirm will it work with makemkv?

I also see that the Pioneer BDR-XS07TS is another option for a slightly lower price. What does the BDR-XS07TUHD offer over the BDR-XS07TS? I only intend to use the drive for creating backups and not direct playback. All playback will be done with software. Will the lack of an AACS 2.0 Crypto Module have any impact on creating backups? First steps into this world and would like to make the right decision.

Great service, everything was packaged very securely, and delivery was super fast. I ordered and paid late Saturday evening [March 22], and on Tuesday morning [March 25], a young woman handed me the package.

I was pleasantly surprised; I didn't think it would arrive so quickly.

Could you please give me an idea of shipping costs to South Africa via UPS (or any other courier service) please?

I would prefer to order one of the drives available on your site directly, rather than through eBay, as the only item presently listed there is a bit too pricey for me. What with a 23-to-1 exchange rate against the pound.
