When I try to add the BDR-XD08EMB-S (Drive Only), it says "The quantity exceeds the available stock."
But when I try to add the Drive & Carry Case, it successfully adds it to my cart.
Are there actually any BDR-XD08EMB-S drives in stock? I really just want the drive, no need for a carrying case.

Also, I was wondering if you know:
Does the "high-grade rubber coating" on the BDR-XD08EMB-S eventually degrade and become all sticky & icky with age?
And does the rubber coating make any difference with how noisily the case rattles during use, compared to the cheaper BDR-XD08TB/S/G?

Was also wondering, do you have an exact length measurement for the USB cable on these clamshell drives? It looks mighty short.

We have no drive-only option at present. We have not heard of any problems with Pioneer coatings on BDR-XD08EMB-S or BDR-XS07TUHD. The options that are available have been tested, wrapped, and ready to go. The USB 90-degree angled lead is 40 cm. We do sell 50cm leads and 100cm leads, which are available on request when ordering.

Hopefully, some other forum member can answer your question below regarding rattles?

"And does the rubber coating make any difference with how noisily the case rattles during use, compared to the cheaper BDR-XD08TB/S/G?"

Hello ascom,

I'm new to the forum, but I'd like to thank you for your tireless work.

I would like to purchase the BDRS13E, but unfortunately it's sold out.
My question is:
If I were to purchase the drive with the Vantec case, would both the original Pioneer packaging and the original Vantec case packaging be included in the package I would receive? And all the accessories from the original packaging?

I'm asking because the drive is pre-assembled in the case.
And since I like to keep my original packaging, also to resell old hardware, I'd like to know.

Is it likely that the BDRS13E drive will be available for sale separately again in the near future?

Best regards,
RetroMasterUser

I mean, I guess my advice to the folks that want a particular Pioneer UHD drive would be: don’t wait, the inventory is depleting fast and some drives might never be restocked.
Although, of course I have no first hand information about the availability, ultimately only @Asmcom knows whether more drives would become available eventually.

Subject: Pioneer Drive Order and Vantec DX2 Enclosure Offer

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, we can certainly use a larger box and include all the original packaging, which we still have available. Please note that this will increase the postage cost.

Regarding the Vantec DX2 Enclosure, £20 extra is an excellent deal. If you decide to proceed with your order, kindly email us using the link on the shopping cart page, and we will advise you on the additional shipping charge.

We would also like to mention that Pioneer drives are becoming increasingly difficult to source, so securing one now could be a wise decision.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Kind regards,
Asmcom

Would you deliver to Thailand?
And can I pay you in **Unwanted Spam**?

I don't understand why crypto as payment is getting censored here.
It is not spam, it is a legit way to settle a transaction international with ease.

In the US, PayPal officially supports this payment method:
https://www.paypal.com/us/digital-walle ... ney/crypto

If the seller is okay with this payment method, it should not get censored.

Why is the only payment option PayPal Friends & Family? Seems kinda sketchy no? From what I've read and going by the name, it should only be used for payments to friends and family, using it in a webshop seems kinda suspicious.

I've bought from asmcom before, but that was on eBay. That was a BU4ON that have since developed some issues, it struggles reading most BD100s (CD, DVD and BD25/BD50/BD66 work fine) and I've also have it scratch discs (the bad circular kind) which seems to be a design flaw with these units so I'm looking for a Pioneer to replace it. It just seems kinda strange to run a webshop and not use the regular PayPal payment option like every other webshop I've encountered that has PayPal as an option.

Anyone know why asmcom has stopped selling on eBay?

That is correct. We have ripped nobody off. We do because of the fees.

I ordered my drive on Thursday and got an immediate receipt via email. Detailed instructions followed in a follow up email. It was shipped on Friday and arrived by tracked Royal Mail at 9:30 am this morning, perfectly packaged, with a thank you and some haribo’s thrown in for good measure :) I’m so impressed with the level of diligence and quality of service.

Order with confidence. Asmcom provides an outstanding service!

@Asmcom

Hi Asmcom, do you think there will be any more Pioneer BDR-X13E-S available? I was considering buying one for a friend as I already bought two for myself :D
How about the elusive BDR-X13E-X?

Thank you for your great resource!
