That's complete nonsense. But even if it were true, which it's not, using autocal and then not adjusting shadow detail to raise or lower black level is very wrong on an lg oled. With the equipment most home users have this is mostly a waste of time because the equipment isn't sensitive enough near black to be super useful in adjusting it correctly. For the most part anyway. A professional selling calibration better be using higher end equipment that is more sensitive near black and should be taking the time to fix those issues!! Did they at least have their own pattern generator? Or did they use the internal pattern generator? Because that can't be used to verify the calibration which is even worse.daffie wrote:

Besides, autocal is not really the best way to calibrate an lg oled IMO. There is better software out there to do it.
As I said before, if you spend the time ripping DV or worse adding/upgrading DV to your rips, having the proper equipment to play them on matters greatly. Otherwise you're not really taking advantage of all it can offer.
