Check before flash operation

Post by AlexChris003 »

Hi Guys,

I'm new to all of this, so I just wanted to know if I have everything put together correctly so that the flashing works afterwards and I don't brick my optical drive.
So, this is what I have:
- Optical BD-Drive ASUS BW-16D1HT
- USB-Enclosure: RaidSonic Icy Box IB-550STU3S
- latest MKV-SW which tells me the following about my drive:
BR.png
BR.png (51.07 KiB) Viewed 12389 times
- Flashtool which I found via your links (patched official MTK flasher?)
- Flashfile from the MK firmware pack which would be "ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014.bin"

is this all correct and I can procede to flash?

So I can directly flash the mentioned FW without downgrading first to another one?
I'm a bit confused about the different flash manuals...

Jep, I was just very afraid to brick my drive :D
Flashed without any problems and right now I'm at the first BD which is "only" FHD.
Later on there are some with UHD and HDR (Dolby Vision).
Curious if this works without problems

Check my guide for AnyDVD. It's more precautious than these here. Firts the "don't"s and then the "do"s.
