Only 10 months late but is this what you are after?jonghotti wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 3:09 amSo the buffalo drives with the BU40N in it can simply be flashed with BU40N 1.00 and they'll come back saying Buffalo xxxxx BU10.
I'm wondering about the Buffalo BRXL-16U3 big external drive that contains a BH16NS58 in it with revision 1.01. Is there a 1.00 around for the BH16NS58? Still need to figure out how to remove this case unless you guys are going to tell me we can flash over USB now
Is there a way to downgrade the firmware on a Buffalo BRUHD-PU3 from BU11 to BU10?

Re: BRXL-PT6U2VB is UDH-friendly NOW
You should use the modified ASUS flasher.bioteq wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 3:39 pmcongrats on the upgraded drive, one question though - what updater did you use to get to bn11, I'm seeing only the 2.00 updater from Buffalo which you linked earlier, not sure if this contains what I need?
Do I even need to update or do I just cross-flash to 1.03 from Mike?
Thanks for all the info!
Cheers

I always use the 1.00 BU40N firmware I wonder what the differences are.
I've got pre-flashed BU40Ns for sale in either the Buffalo or Vantec enclosures. Immediate shipping available.

Hi All,
I just get my Buffalo BRUHD-PU3 today, and I am using DVDFab UHD tool to downgrade it to BU10 by just a click, and completely successful.

Just in case you might be still interested in Buffalo firmwares, they released a new FW update tool [brdrive_fwupdater_200.exe], featuring:
a. Buffalo_BU40N_FW_Updater_2.01.exe
b. Buffalo_BH16NS58_FW_Updater_2.01.exe
- I used the firmware you linked
- I used the ASUS Crossflash exe if found on this site
Took all of 2 minutes.
Thanks planet1 for your post
