Thanks
And I wasn't saying that in a snarky way, sorry if it came out like that.
I just added the same drive ASUS BW-16D1HT
Found the thread in the firmware for the drive. Two questions.
Perfect. A couple quick questions before I flash. How do I determine the drive platform? I googled, could not find anything about drive platforms related to MT1959SamuriHL wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 11:43 pmhttps://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 16&t=19634
See that thread for info on how to flash. It's pretty painless and if you follow the instructions (there are videos linked in that first post) there's not a lot of risk involved.
Having LibreDrive support is a benefit even on regular blu-rays. Typically new MKB's are released (from time to time) with new titles. These MKB's can block your ability to decrypt even older discs until new MKB support is released in MakeMKV. mike's usually quite fast at that so not a really big deal, however, LibreDrive allows you to ignore MKB's altogether and will allow you to forever decrypt all your titles that have title keys available forever. So, that's quite the benefit I think.![]()
