Mike said it should be fixed in another thread.

Link to the other thread?
Just tried and still says Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed
edit: downloaded the latest hashed keys file that was made available today and it's now working with a new release (Gremlins). Thanks Mike!

Working here, the discs that had been failing are now succeeding.

No specific fix. It just appears to work now, so probably something on the server end was fixed.

He also released an updated hash key file. Look in the uhd disc section at the sticky.

It's automatic, assuming that 'Allow contacting web...' is checked in 'Preferences > General' (& nothing else is blocking access).

As mentioned, you don't need to download or do anything in particular. The update file just points to a hostname that resolves now.

... such a pity that I can not test this, I am on holiday until the 16th....
Glad to hear that it seems to be fixed now.

I'm getting this issue and I've even gone as far to disable my Firewall temporarily, with no luck. I get this error, over and over:
MakeMKV v1.14.5 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Using LibreDrive mode (v05 id=DA23CAE0BD2F)
Downloading latest HK to D:/MakeMKV ...
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
Saved AACS dump file as D:/MakeMKV/MKB20_v68_The_Shining_53F0.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

Be aware that some internet providers will cache DNS data for longer than they should, and sometimes your operating system will do the same.
On Windows, the command ipconfig /flushdns will tell the system to flush its DNS cache. How you do it on other operating systems can be found by searching for "flush dns cache" + your operating system.
When I was creating new domains on a regular basis, I could have it active within 20 minutes of finishing the registration... except for people on AOL, which would take 24 hours.

Flushing the DNS cache didn't help in my case. I'm still getting the "Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed." error.
What is the exact URL/domain that the app is using to pull this data from?

It's all covered earlier in this very thread.
