I purchased my copy from Amazon 4K UltraHD. The Bluray MPLS and Segments that I could see where not any of the one's people posted. So I stepped through the disc and played each segment in the 500 range. Here is what I came up with.

MPLS is 957

Segments are as follows:
518, 512, 514, 510, 515, 506, 520, 511, 516, 505, 501, 504, 502, 519, 507, 508, 509, 503, 517

UK retail Version correct MPLS: 00696

Just done a run through and makmkv shows this as the FPL_MainFeature
504,512,509,511,518,506,514,519,505,516,507,520,510,502,508,503,501,515,517 - 00396.mpls

but after looking it looks like this is the correct one for me.
504,512,509,511,518,514,506,519,505,516,507,520,510,502,508,503,501,515,517 - 00444.mpls

I spot checked it against the DVD and the time codes look the same.
All the play lists start with 504 and end with 517.

Can I get some assistance/advise on this issue, I use Handbrake .9.9.5530 an older version I know but this was b4 they implemented security check on Handbrake, and I use it to rip all stuff, but more and more I have been running into the situation where there are so many of these alternate versions that it take hrs(like John Wick 3). for them to all be scanned and typically there are so many loaded in it's potential times out or just stops loading, has anyone found away around this I'd like to load up a specific mpls but that never works either or I haven't figured out how to I've tried selection about every option that shows up under the options of loadable files, but finding help on using an out dated free program leads to post like these...
I am sure I can convert these playlist to MP4 if I could ever get them to load...

This is the first disc so far out of all my blu-rays I've bought to give me all these playlists from this playlist obfuscation thing. After some trial and error, for the Best Buy Steelbook release with Blu-ray and UHD 4K discs, I found 00957.mpls to be correct. Here's the info.

Hope this helps some people. Makemkv looking at the 4K UHD disc only sees just the one track so no problems there.

--Edit number 2 - Ok found my initial track/mpls file was wrong. I did the manual way and spliced the segments myself. Turns out mine matches the segment map from the Amazon retail UHD 4K and also the Walmart release from previous posts. Think I'll start doing it this way from now on, makes the headaches more tolerable, lol

There appears to be no doubt the Redbox version of John Wick 3 has quite a few different versions out there. Perhaps they are different based on geographic regions or perhaps they are scattered randomly.

In my Redbox version, t392.mkv was the correct version. This was not the version Java said was correct as the "MainFeature," though. I went and watched both the disc version and the t392.mkv version simultaneously for nearly a half hour and the two were identical.

I haven't been able to determine a definite playlist to look at for yours but, if you are willing to do a little work, try this HOWEVER this will only work if the studio used the same files but changed file names or even used the same segment names. Open Notepad in Windows and copy the list below and paste it in Notepad. Here's my correct order of segments with file sizes for the Best Buy Steel book US 4K UHD Retail.

Now look in the BDMV \ STREAM folder on your blu-ray disc with File Explorer and compare the file sizes. If the file size matches your files but have different names, change the segment number in Notepad to match yours instead. Once that's done you should see the correct segment map order and just need to find the playlist that has that order in MakeMKV. Basically, highlight a one of the tracks and press the down arrow and find the correct segment map order you came up with You can start around 00400.mpls or 00900.mpls or possibly 00600.mpls it seems.

This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlhBmIbReao, shows how to play the given BD disc, and figure out what the right sequence (right mpls file) to use in case for drives with this protection mechanism. I was able to use this method to figure out the sequence for RB disc I had.

Well this was an adventure, used the ProcMon method and it looks like the Canadian Amazon version is 00957.mpls
(which matches the American Walmart version for some reason? lol)
