thanks to the moderator for linking my thread to this one - I clearly didn't find it with the correct search function.
I'm ripping the UK retail version - it has 500+ titles in, but doesn't have any of the approved mpls files 377 or 510
How do I work out which one I need to actually rip ?

by playing the film and going through the bluray's menus for play info, the best I could get was the title being played was 01 202, which I'm hoping represents the file 202 (chapter one of file 202) but I don't know yet.

I was wrong, 202 does not mean the filename 202 - 202 is really out of sequence.

I just tried 00510.mpls for my retail Hellboy (Blu-ray, DVD, digital combo) and it appears to be the correct one. Upon inspecting the segments, segment 505 and 508 appear to be the same clip. Interesting indeed.

I am in the UK and could use some help which is the correct playlist for Hellboy (2019) I have tried 527 that is incorrect, I do not have 510 or 377 on mt playlists so I cam completely confused???

Just picked up a retail Blu-ray from Costco and it doesn't have any of the mentioned above. IE no 377, 378, 510 or 527 nor do any of the chapter listed match what has been suggested so far.

518 is the last listed on my retail disc and it doesn't have 377 or 510 either. So far all that I have tried have sections missing or playing out of order.

I agree the UK Blu Ray playlist for me is 00527.

I normally use VLC with process monitor but VLC just stalled loading the blu ray. So I exported the makemkvcon output to a text file and played through various versions at the cut points until I narrowed down the segment map to 511,504,508,517,501,510,505,502,512,516,507,506,515,514,500,513,509 which only relates to playlist 00527.
