Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Hi - is 00800.mpls the correct track or is it 00801.mpls? Thanks!
Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Having the same issues with mine. It ripped but the playback was messed up. Will send the dump file to see what happens.

Have the same question. Both are the same duration, but slightly different mkv output files. Which one is correct?Malice wrote:macmuchmore wrote:Hi - is 00800.mpls the correct track or is it 00801.mpls? Thanks!

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
I tried 00800 and it worked just fine... did not try 00801. BTW - this was from that colored box outside of a lot of wallgreens, etc...cerpika wrote:Have the same question. Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
I encoded both 00800 and 00801 and they appear to have identical English audio and scene order. The only difference seems to be that 800 has many more foreign language subtitles than 801.
See also discussion of subtitles in the recent "Foreign Language Subtitles" thread http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8479

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Just sent a dump file to the support address for X-Men: Days of Future Past (Rogue Cut) that just came out today. It has the no FUT's error as well, which isn't a big surprise as it's very new.
Thanks for taking a look at it, Mike!

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Has anyone else bought this version of DoFP and received the no FUT's error and dump file?
Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Yes, I got the exact same result. I sent an email to support as well.JosephEC wrote:Has anyone else bought this version of DoFP and received the no FUT's error and dump file?
Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Hopefully they'll be able to come up a new svq file for this new extended cut version fairly soon, but in the meantime, I'll watch it on my BD player...Primal wrote:Yes, I got the exact same result. Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
I can not see differences regarding the subtitles. Both seem to have the same languages?!theOtherDave wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2014 5:17 pmI encoded both 00800 and 00801 and they appear to have identical English audio and scene order. I check possible other differences. At first the different segment details:
Code: Select all
Titelinformationen
Name: X-Men: Days of Future Past (English)
Name der Quelldatei: 00800.mpls
Länge: 2:11:35
Anzahl der Kapitel: 40
Size: 34.8 GB
Segmentanzahl: 3
Segmentkarte: 1984,1985,1986
Name der Ausgabedatei: X-Men - Zukunft ist Vergangenheit FSK12 BR DE EN TR IMDB8.0 00800.mkv

Segmentkarte: 1984,1987,1986

As done with Salt I extracted all tracks with gMKVExtractGUI: I checked all file hashes of the extracted audio, subtitles, video files, etc. by using HashCheck Shell Extension and everything has the same hash except of the chapters.xml file and the video files itself. The chapter file has identical time stamps. It has only different EditionUID and ChapterUID. I do not think this is important for us: But there is a difference between "X-Men - Zukunft ist Vergangenheit FSK12 BR DE EN TR IMDB8.0 00800_track1_[eng].avc" and "X-Men - Zukunft ist Vergangenheit FSK12 BR DE EN TR IMDB8.0 00801_track1_[eng].avc" as the file size differs so the content of the videos must be different.
Is it possible to check the length of segments so I can determine the correct timestamp of the difference? Maybe I try one of the Binary Diff Tools listed here:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/8166748/318765
EDIT: Now I used HxD to compare the Binary data of the exported video tracks. There are differences at around 15% of the file. After that no other differences can be found. The problem is that I do not know how to find the corresponding time stamp. Maybe I can split the files at this position and play it through vlc. I'll try to find it out...
Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Ok, I finally found it. As I said before I used HxD to compare the binary data of the AVS files that I exported from the two MKV files through gMKVExtractGUI. Then I leave the cursor at this position, scrolled down to the end of the file, hold down shift and clicked the last hex character to mark everything after that position. Then I deleted this part and saved the file in a new AVS file. Now I opened MKVToolNix GUI and drag and drop this new AVS to create a new MKV file. After playing this file it ends at 17:56. This is the scene in which Wolverine is standing up naked and viewing himself in the mirror. This scene was censored in 00801.mpls. So if you want to see the naked backside of Hugh Jackman you need to use 00800.mpls
Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Why so complicated?
MPLS 800 has segment map 1984,1985,1986
MPLS 801 has segemnt map 1984,1987,1986
Make a decrypted backup, go to the backup folder, subfolder BDMV/STREAM and view the twi different files from the above MPLS 01986,m2ts and 01987.m2ts
