Before Mr. bd-com built/cloned devices,

The mainboard of the M9700 looks like it was "borrowed" from the Philips BDP9700 (Mediatek MT8580 main SoC & Marvell 88DE2755 QDEO video postprocessor).

We are aware, it’s all the same site.

Hi, spl147 do you know if there's any advantage of using that sellers other firmware? Ex. the Pioneer firmware? They say the Oppo jailbreak firmware is the most stable.

SACD Iso's Work Perfectly Fine!
Ohh, so you have already tested this - NICE!
Does it also offer DSD output via HDMI?

anything in particular you want me to Test?
Featurewise no, but if this Oppo-clone does support remote telnet connections we could find out what Linux kernel runs on and what Mediatek SoC powers this device.

Last but not least I would like to add it onto my list - I think vendor name, FW version & subtitle support are the missing pieces of information.
i can connect via telnet, what commands would you like me to run?

Code: Select all

uname -a
This should reveal the Linux kernel version and the architecture is runs on, probably armv7l.

Code: Select all

cliprog
If this tool is present, a lot of player (Mediatek chipset) specific commands can be executed.

Code: Select all

busybox
Truly a Swiss Army Knife!

I can see that this plays Dolby Vision without a hiccup. But can it play Dolby Atmos via .MKV container? Or that's only possible Blu Ray ISO/BD-R Folder structure?

Hi everyone, I know its off topic but how did you buy it? I've tried but I get a message about 3 inputs needed, I'm guessing has to do with the Mac address but I'm not sure what time input. Thanks in advance.

Are you streaming this through USB or through the network? I've been trying to get my Oppo to play disc backups from a NAS but I can't get them to work. Wondering if this might be a solution
