Just to close the loop, the manual mode method worked for me too. Thanks for all the help!

My initial run for this Lionsgate DVD was met with partial errors, so I searched and found this thread (linked from another: Question on DVD obfuscation viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17806)

This method helped for me with Juliet, Dead. However it varied:
First play was from PS3, Title 70 was selected with time of 1:37:35
run #1
Opened disc in VLC: Title 70 1:37:29 (then closed)
Manual title selection #70 for makemkv rip.

Run#2
Opened disc again in VLC This time title 62, 1:37:29
Manual title selection #62 for makemkv rip.

Attached is a partial screen shot from titles listed in VLC, and I highlighted the titles with same times.
Stamps were the titles played by VLC first 2 times.

Based on the info here, I suspect all are valid. Just varies to skew and/or discourage some from ripping.

Ken Burns The Vietnam War

Post by Marvinbew »

Ive been watching this series, it has lots of footage and info I had never seen/heard before, recordings of L.B.J. and staff, a very thorough, accurate, documentary as good as Burns series on the Civil war and others he has made. Made 2017, now on Netflix.
