Failure only occurs with main stream "Le_Dîner_de_cons_t00.mkv" whereas remaining ones (bonus, making of ect) are extracted correctly. I have latest MakeMKV version but it also failed with an older one. Then, I have no idea what to do as there is not much information. Can I activate some kind of log or something ? I wonder whether there is some kind of 'size' related issue albeit I have enough space to save the movie.
Thank you for your answer. Then, I think I managed to do what you suggest and here is "MakeMKV_log.txt" :

I don't know whether that helps but I see at least an "Exception".
Yes, it helps that we see some of information leading up to the read failure. Since they're listed as debug codes, we will have to let Mike (the program author) interpret them.
To make sure he sees it, send an email to support@makemkv.com with a link to this topic. Including the log in the email will probably speed things up a bit.
I am assuming that you've already cleaned the disk. Dirty disk errors usually have a bit more information.
I also tried to create an ISO with another software then import it into MakeMKV. Eventually, I also get similar error when trying to remux that main stream (the movie).
A google search of "LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error while reading input" seems to indicate a problem with reading the disc, may be a dirty disc, physical damage, or mastering error. Try cleaning and, if possible, replace.
Actually, it is a brand new disc. I just bought it last week and never play it. I directly tried to rip it.
Eventually, I managed to extract the movie with another software. But I would like to manage with MakeMKV as I always use it. I sent something to support one week ago as suggested above but I didn't get any answer (from mike admin)
mike admin wrote:This is a rather strange error, as debug log lists no fatal failures. I have to ask you for a test dump, please follow instructions at http://www.makemkv.com/onlinehelp/testdump.html

Hi, Mike, thanks for you reply. So I did what you suggest, here is the link for the tgz file :
I obtained it while ripping the disc. But, as explained above, I also extracted an ISO image which I loaded on Make MKV and eventually I got similar error - which occurs on main movie stream. So I could also create a tgz based on the ISO if needed.

Hi Abel,
One of my favorite French comedies! Can you tell me what other software enabled you to create a backup? I bought MakeMKV but had to set it aside a few months ago as most Blu-Rays failed to backup. Merci!
