I wish this worked more often - I was excited when I finally got it working on my iMac, but with quite a few movies it fails to flag anything at all (such as The Big Sick). This feature seems to work better on Windows than Mac.

I only see this work occasionally, because I avoid buying titles from Lionsgate.
What is the procedure to submit information to MakeMKV when the JAVA does not work?

My disc does not have a "00920.mpls". I arbitrarily selected "00058.mpls" and surprisingly the resulting mkv shows everything in the proper order.

Just watched this flick and can confirm that this info is correct for the Netflix rental version. The only detail that was different was in the file name: The_Big_Sick_(2017)_t345.mkv, NOT The_Big_Sick_(2017)_t344.mkv.

Cheers.

For the Retail Version, it is 00544.MPLS.

Do you have the track/chapter details so I can compare that to my distribution. i don't have a 920 so this might be the right one.

Thanks

Thanks, but I looked through all the title (albeit manually scanning them visually) but I couldn't find a single title in the hundreds presented by MakeMKV, that has 506 in the second index of the list. I guess with different distributions (retail, netflix, redbox) they even change the numbers/names associated with each title. Is that right?

I just re-verified it -- there's not a single file with 506 in position 2 on the segment map. I found one title with 506 in it and it was the only segment.

Code: Select all

Title information
Name: The Big Sick (English)
Source file name: 00043.mpls(3)
Duration: 0:26:15
Chapters count: 4
Size: 5.9 GB
Segment count: 1
Segment map: 506
File name: The_Big_Sick_t16.mkv
I'm on Linux and don't know of any other application I can use to determine the correct file.

I can verify that this worked for my disk, too (thanks, because I definitely picked some wrong ones before I noticed this one).

For reference it's:

Name: The Big Sick
Source file name: 00058.mpls
Duration: 2:00:24
Chapters count: 16
Size: 27.8 GB
Segment count: 11
Segment map: 502,505,510,509,503,500,504,501,507,508,506
