Just watched Netflix 428 side by side with the Blu-ray and they match up.

428 is the correct one for Netflix. Post your segment map screen capture so we can see what you are reporting in 119, 118, and 428.

Netflix version, 00428.mpls was the correct version for me. I tried 00600.mpls but roughly 5 minutes into the movie a chapter went out of order.

Minor technical note: the out-of-order sequences are not done on chapter boundaries.

Talking to a user from UK he is reporting 1 mpls references 1 m2ts file. Be warned all users that they will be using 1 mpls to reference 1 m2ts that is mixed and called by time stamps or chapters instead of the segment map we are all use to. When this happens it could render process monitor useless. Unless we come up with a way to counter this. Right now a .m2ts filter will overcome this screen pass which I've named reverse screen pass protection. I'm sure many on here understand what I mean by timestamps or points of entry into a file.

It would seem in a lot of cases most every version of a particular title found at Netflix, Red, Retail and rental store versions, vary in some way. Lionsgate disks are always challenging. Using PowerDVD and Process Monitor, I discovered that the actual MPLS being used by PowerDVD was written to a directory on my computer. A file of the same name (0258.mpls) exists on the original Disk but they were NOT the same. I opened the computer written version in Notepad and despite seeing a bunch of hieroglyphics, the actual stream (segment) file names can be plainly seen in the proper sequence. Using that sequence, I compared it to every segment map shown in Makemkv until I found the one that matched. In my case that was 0600.mpls.

Yep my screen pass cashe video exposes this. You can watch the follow-up video and use alldup to reveal the hidden mpls if you must know the factory mpls. Google it you will find it.......

FWIW, I took time to finally put together a way to verify things on my Linux machine, as I'm tired of guessing which mentioned .mpls file is correct (in case my copy is different, etc.).

On my "Red" copy rented today, the various mentioned mpls files are defined as:

Obviously 00493 is wrong, as 03115.m2ts is the "copyright violation" screen, and the time is off.

The others all have different m2ts files following 00515.m2ts. Of those, clearly 00511.m2ts is the right one, which indicates that 00428.mpls is correct. I also checked the transition between each of the other m2ts files, and they all look good.

In short, I'm satisfied that on my copy, 00428.mpls is correct.

I have been using MakeMKV for a long time and just ran into my first issue with Hunger Games Part 1 where it seems the segments were out of order. I am looking at Part 2 now and following this thread, but when I open the disk in MakeMKV it only has one full length track that it ultimately discovers, with most of the others in the log with a message like "Title 00369.mpls is equal to title 00000.mpls and was skipped". I assume this is a problem and somehow I need to select a specific track? How does this work in MakeMKV.

Just wanted to add another version of this movie:
European Nordic Version (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish)
The duration is not the same as others have reported, but it's the only one I seem to have been able to match up. I will soon watch the movie and will report back, if I somehow made a mistake at picking out the playlist.

Does anyone know the playlist for the eOne release in Canada (Bluray-DVD-Digital Copy)? I purchased the disk from Costco UPC disk # 7421211310. The disk serial# is BVDL-1265890B1 (ie the # printed on the center spool).

Not true. A prime example is the release of Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part 2. There is a boatload of play lists on that disk. All but a few of them that play the main feature all have the same total length.

Since I have that disc ripped right in front of me, you're totally wrong.

Sorry, but I am not. I don't know what version you have, but the version I have has hundreds of play lists that have the same 18 segments with many segments played out-of-order. The total play time of those play lists is the same. One of the correct play lists in this case is 706:
