@theheath: protip, maybe truncate "Cell 13 was discarded (structure protection?)" and put (repeated 300 times) next to thel ine rather than crap all over the thread.

Tried ripping LEON The Professional bluray. No errors but all sound streams result in pops and clicks (no audio). Changing from one audio stream to the next causes the mkv to freeze

What player do you use for playback?

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occured while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00001.m2ts' at offset '15734992896'
Medium error is a result of scratched disc. Please try to increase "IO error retry count" in preferences and cross your fingers.

The first error looks like a problem in MakeMKV. Is this error printed instantly or in the middle of conversion? Can you please try to redo the disc but deselect all subtitles, and see if error would appear again?

Hi!

An obvious question perhaps but, do you get different/better results when you play your original BluRay disc on the same system - or does it exhibit the same behavior?

Neither disc of the Blu-ray release of Gunslinger Girl Il Teatrino ( http://www.amazon.com/Gunslinger-Girl-T ... 549&sr=1-3 ) rips properly. Tracks that include stuff like the menus or the extras rip fine, but the episodes themselves don't. I'm using makemkv 1.5.0 in Linux. Going into Windows, using AnyDVD to rip the disc to disk, and then going back into Linux to use makemkv again gets the same result. So, it doesn't look like it's a DRM issue. Each of the episodes gives an error like this:

Code: Select all

005003:0000 Failed to save title 5 to file /home/bdrips/Gunslinger_Girl_Il_Teatrino/title05.mkv
I'm attaching the log from makemkv from trying to rip the first disc.

Thank you for reporting. Known problem, but the exact cause and time estimate for fix are unknown yet. I wish I had better answer.

Hi!

Would you be kind enough to at least give us a clue as to the nature of your problem with this DVD?
