Save Partial Rip?

Does anyone know if there is a problem ripping a disc, if you can save the portion(s) that are readable before the disc errors? I'm guessing because it's all 1's and 0's that nothing is readable (it's not written or read in a linear fashion) until it is completely finished, but I wanted to check.

This is a much requested feature. However the way it's currently engineered makemkv is prioritizes correctness of the rip over successfulness. In other words, no. I agree however it would be nice if it runs into an error to ask whether you want to proceed with a broken rip. However, I could forsee this being complicated to implement because errors are unpredictable by definition and how to "fix" them is probably non-unique and non-trivial.
